Categories of data

Reading the pages requires no registration and creates no record on our side that could identify you. Personal data is received only when the contact form is used, and consists of the name you give, an email address, an optional telephone number and the message text. Independently of that, the hosting provider maintains an access log containing IP address, timestamp and browser identification.

Purpose and lawful basis

Contact form data serves one purpose: replying to the enquiry. The lawful basis is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR — handling correspondence sent to us. Access logs rest on the same basis, kept for the security and availability of the site.

Recipients and transfers

Form contents are relayed through the Telegram Bot API so the message reaches the publisher in the Telegram application. That service is operated by Telegram Messenger and processing may take place outside the European Economic Area. The hosting provider holds technical access to the server. No further disclosure takes place; data is never sold and never used for advertising or profiling.

Storage period

Correspondence is deleted once the matter is closed, and in any event within twelve months of the last message. Hosting logs rotate automatically over a period of weeks.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or portability, and you may object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests. Email the address above and expect a reply within one month. Complaints may be directed to the Data Protection Commission, 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28.

Age

The site is written for adult readers. Data relating to anyone under 16 is not knowingly processed and will be erased on notification.
